A'bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster

Hi everyone! I'm gonna do a review about A'bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster. A'bloom is in house brand from Althea and was officially launch on 20th April 2019. They launched 3 products and on previous post, I've already shared my thought on their meringue puff. Click HERE to read. So next, what is BHA blackhead blaster?

BHA blackhead blaster is a skin exfoliant that helps to remove blackheads and whiteheads. Walaupun nama product ni BHA blackhead blaster, tapi whiteheads pun berkesan tau since BHA cleanses inside the pores. I do have sebaceous filaments around my nose and whiteheads around my chin and usually i will picit-picit hidung sampai merah to remove them. It is not a good practice actually tapi biasa lah geram sangat rasa macam ada dirts dekat hidung. Oh fun fact: yang dekat hidung tu sebenarnya sebaceous filaments tapi orang selalu salah anggap dengan blackheads. You can google to know more about sebaceous filaments.

Lepas dapat tahu yang Althea nak keluarkan product ni, rasa eggcited sangat nak try. Plus, the packaging is to die for. I really really really love stick packaging. Senang nak bawa, nak simpan, nak guna, semua senang lah. Kalau boleh memang nak semua benda in stick packaging. Selain daripada packaging, i juga tertarik dengan perkataan "Natural BHA" sebab selalunya salicylic acid yang digunakan tapi nope. They are using white willow bark extract which explains why natural BHA.  Lets see full ingredients yang ada dalam BHA blackhead blaster ni.

Propylene glycol, water, sodium stearate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, alcohol, silica, charcoal powder, salix alba (willow bark extract), prunus armeniaca (apricot) seed powder, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, quillaja saponaria bark extract, glycerin, bentonite, coco-glucoside, PEG-40 stearate, 1,2-hexanediol, citric acid, disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol.

I actually sedih sikit bila dapat tahu ada tea tree oil dalam ingredients sebab my skin cannot tolerate with tea tree. Tapi disebabkan i nak try juga, so i just guna dekat area hidung dengan harapan there's no zit tomorrow morning and yay it doesn't break me out. Masa mula-mula pakai i rasa cuak sikit sebab my sebaceous filaments nampak makin obvious so i cuci cepat-cepat sebelum benda buruk berlaku 😹 Tapi lepas cuci, tak ada apa pun sebenarnya. My sebaceous filaments berkurang and my hidung nampak bersih walaupun tak hilang sepenuhnya. Besides, hidung rasa soft je lepas cuci. Another fun fact: sebaceous filaments tak akan hilang selama-lamanya. It's just for a temporary and it will come back. 

Im not sure if you guys can spot the difference but it removes some of my sebaceous filaments. It also doesn't irritate my skin and no tingling sensation. Usually, we are not advised to exfoliate our skin daily but this is safe for daily use. Kebanyakkan products yang contain BHA, will use salicylic acid in their ingredient and percentage salicylic acid yang digunakan quite high yang boleh menyebabkan our skin barrier damage kalau over exfoliate (use everyday) but as a result, it removes blackheads and whiteheads amazingly. Ni salah satu faktor juga kenapa bila guna BHA blackhead blaster (they use willow bark extract instead of salicylic acid), blackheads/ sebaceous filaments/ whiteheads tak hilang sepenuhnya but why bother because it will come back after all. It's quite drying since there's alcohol in the ingredients list so i will make sure to moisturise my skin a lot! I dont really like any skincare yang ada bau tapi bau BHA blackhead blaster ni best la juga. Bau macam cosrx morning gel cleanser. Maybe sebab tea tree oil???
